A GTAForums user just dropped the motherload of GTA 6 info after they claimed responsibility for a recent Rockstar Games hack that yielded some 90 videos straight out of a GTA 6 test build using the source code and assets from both “GTA 5 and 6”. If this is an elaborate ruse to try and fool people, then it’s quite believable. And, if it is true, Rockstar will have its hands full....

How long is the base game of Dying Light 2? Techland’s open-world zombie title, Dying Light, was released back in 2015. It appears that all of them will be able to play Battlefield 2042 starting on November 12. But, that’s not all. Those with active EA Play subscribers will have access to the game’s early access trial as well....

According to a lawsuit by Village Roadshow Films against Warner Bros., the media giant has moved “forward with a television series based on Edge of Tomorrow.” Village Roadshow Films is a long-time partner of WB. The two worked together on Edge of Tomorrow as well as The Matrix Resurrections. As for the reason behind the lawsuit, it appears the gist is that Village Roadshow refuses to give up its rights to Edge of Tomorrow and other properties that it co-produced and co-financed with WB....
Embracer confirmed in a press release that it has completed its acquisition of Square Enix Montreal, Crystal Dynamics, and Eidos-Montreal. Here’s what Embracer had to say about the completion of the buyout: One of the biggest reasons why Square Enix sold off its western subsidiaries is funding. In particular, the Call of Duty team is bringing in new content for Season 4 of Vanguard as well as Warzone and most especially, the Zombies mode. After leaving Zombies players in the cold in Season 3, the devs are making it up big with the return of the classic round-based Shi No Numa map. According to Activision, the Vanguard Season 4 update will go live on June 22 at 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM BST....
Fast forward to today and hopeful fans are thinking that Capcom is gearing up for what could potentially be a heavier slate of games for 2022, as evidenced by an official countdown. If you head on over to the official Capcom Games website, there is a separate page, Capcom Countdown, which, as the title suggests, counts down to zero later this week. Curiously enough, Capcom hasn’t officially announced anything about the countdown, so all we know for now is that it’s going to end in a couple of days....

The streaming giant Netflix has given us some of the best adaptations of video games in the last couple of years. The successful, albeit, troubled Witcher series has been extremely popular. The shortlived Cyberpunk Edgerunner helped revive a struggling AAA video game. Netflix also has Castlevania, DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, Arcane: League of Legends, and Tekken: Bloodline adaptations which have been very entertaining. It looks like Netflix is adding to the lineup as it acquired the rights to the Gears of War franchise....
