343 Industries community director, Brian Jarrard, reasoned on Twitter that the studio is still working on addressing recently discovered issues. Here’s a small part of what Jarrard wrote on Twitter: “Flight” is a term that 343 uses to refer to its beta testing and it uses the term “rings” for the game’s developmental milestones. We commend 343’s commitment to using these terms. It’s the only thing that it has stayed consistent with throughout the entire time. In the meantime, Halo Infinite isn’t in the best place. After two seasons, Halo Infinite’s player count is starting to taper off. It’s gotten to the point that Battlefield 2042 has more players than Halo Infinite. We don’t know if there is a term for when a game once considered dead has more players than yours, but we doubt that it’s good news.
At the end of the day, the delay casts serious doubt that the co-op campaign gameplay for Halo Infinite will arrive in August.
