Activision has announced early campaign access for players who pre-order the digital version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This is the first time we’ve seen Activision do something like this in a while.
Call of Duty players have always faced the dilemma of choosing between multiplayer and the campaign on launch day. Rightfully so, after all, if players decide to play the campaign and dedicate their time to the story, they miss out on ranking up fast with other players. This can leave those players at a massive disadvantage when they start playing multiplayer later on, having access to inferior weapons, attachments and ranks.

This gives players ample time to finish up the story and then jump on multiplayer with other players on equal footing. The announcement trailer teases the campaign, showcasing different levels full of action and graphical detail. While Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s release date is a few months away, COD leakers have also been active. A recent leak has revealed the supposed release date of Call of Duty: Warzone 2. The next few months will be exciting for Call of Duty fans.
