Chapter vs. Stages
Chapters are dependant on which location or part of the story you are currently in. Chapters contain multiple stages that build up the overall narrative of the game. Completing a chapter allows you to understand the narrative of The Last of Us Part 2 more. Moving to another location can also signal a new Chapter. Stages, on the other hand, are levels and missions you need to complete for the campaign. There are multiple stages in each chapter, with each stage assigning you a mission to complete.
